Week 16 Thumbnail Image.png

this week we are taking a diy approach to creating our own brand…

The main aim of this week is to give you the knowledge and confidence to create your brand for your creative business. Either by doing it yourself if your budget is limited and you have basic design skills or so you are confident to employ a professional to create your brand. So you know exactly what you need and what to ask for, what you should be getting, as well as what to do with the branding work you get to ensure long-term consistency for your business.

The main content for this week is our industry expert workshop ‘A DIY Guide on Creating Your Own Brand’ on Wed 10th Feb at 6.30pm with Karishma Kusurkar. This workshop will cover topics such as how to create your own logo, what fonts to use and what important things you need to include in setting up your own brand and will give you practical tools that you can apply to your creative business (full details below).

A DIY GUIDE ON CREATING YOUR OWN BRAND WITH KARISHMA KUSURKAR

We are excited to release the event we had on the 10th of February facilitated by Karishma Kusurkar who led the workshop.

The aim of this event was to help you become knowledgeable in getting started with understanding how to set up your own brand DIY style.

As a creative, it can be hard to know where to start when designing your own brand, especially at the beginning as you may not have the finances to pay for a professional graphic designer to put it together.

We wanted to have a workshop that was accessible for people who were looking to know the basic fundamentals of how to create their own brand and get started in their journey.

We want you to walk away with practical tools that you can implement into your brand today. Whether you are just starting out in business, wanting to create a personal brand, or need a refresher on how to create a brand, this is for you.

In this workshop we covered:

Introduction to Branding

  • Brand Values

  • What is your unique selling point?

  • Logos

  • Creating visuals for your brand

  • Image formats

  • Colour

  • Fonts & Typography

  • Language and be accessible
